Thomas Farrell has been crowned the winner of the East Durham Poker 2025 Season 1 League Final, last night, in a thrilling conclusion to the season.
Following the end of the regular league, which saw Tess Pattinson emerge as the overall champion, the top nine players battled it out for the coveted final title last night.
Despite finishing the season in a respectable 5th place with 595 points, Farrell showcased exceptional skill and determination at the final table. He navigated a competitive field to secure an outright victory, earning him the title of League Final Champion and a coveted seat in the year-end Champions of Champions Final 2025, scheduled for December.
However, the excitement doesn`t end there for the East Durham Poker. Season 2 is set to commence immediately, kicking off officially with the Season 1 Awards Night this Thursday.
The evening promises a £50 Freezeout Tournament alongside the presentation of various accolades, including the prestigious Players` Player of the Season and Most Improved Player awards.
Looking ahead, the Season 2 League will begin on Monday 12th May when Players can anticipate another 14 weeks of intense poker action, culminating in another League Final for the top nine finishers.
And with a substantial prize pool of £1500 is up for grabs, promising fierce competition and thrilling gameplay.
