East Durham Poker & Charity

East Durham Poker has always been built around the people who walk through the card-room doors. The competition matters, the trophies matter and nobody sits down hoping to lose, but the community around the tables has always been just as important as the poker itself.

Over the years that community has given us the opportunity to use poker for something bigger. Charity tournaments, fundraising events, collections and support for good causes have allowed EDP and its players to give something back, whether that has meant raising money, helping an organisation directly or simply using the room to bring people together behind a worthwhile cause.

This page is a record of that side of East Durham Poker: the money raised and donated, the charities and organisations we have supported, and some of the photographs from the events that made it happen. Every contribution comes back to the same thing. A poker community doing a little bit of good together.
